Experienced cultural resource consultants based in Colorado

What is Alpenglow? Well, technically, it's a term for the soft rosy light often seen on high mountain peaks at dusk. We like to think of ourselves as the human version of that phenomenon, providing our clients with that glow that comes from enjoying a job well done.

Alpenglow Cultural is a Colorado-based company founded in 2024 to focus on small-scale cultural resource compliance. We aim to provide high-quality, attentive, and timely consulting to clients in the private and public sectors throughout the west, including Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana.

We've been around a while so no matter what your consulting need is, we've probably done it! Beyond providing routine consulting services, we aim to help you develop solutions that work. We like to think outside the box to help deliver effective and innovative results.

Class I, II, and III Cultural Resource Inventories

To fulfill regulatory requirements such as Section 106, or parallel state and/or local laws, your project will likely require a literature background search followed by a Class III physical inventory of the project area, and reporting. We provide all levels of National Register of Historic Places compliance. Additionally, during the planning stage an existing conditions assessment may be useful.

National Register of Historic Places Assessments and Nominations

We provide well-reasoned National Register of Historic Places assessments and nominations for the full suite of archaeological resources your project may encounter.

Evaluative Testing, Excavation, and Alternative Mitigation Solutions

If your project requires mitigation, we are here for you. We have designed, conducted, and carried out traditional as well as creative mitigation projects throughout the Intermountain West.

Archaeological Monitoring

If your project includes ground disturbances, you may need an archaeological monitor to ensure cultural resources aren’t impacted. When you need assistance providing an archaeological monitor for any scale of project, let us step in.
